Vredestein Tyres continue to prove their worth to our Agricultural customers and contractors, with a recent testimonial from a Tasmanian customer showing how his tyres are going the extra mile for him in both on-road and in-the-paddock applications.
Our customer, Tasmin Bourne, who is a farmer and Agricultural contractor in Tasmania, recently fitted 2 x 420/70R28 Traxion+ and 2 x 460/85R38 Traxion85 to his Challenger Techstar Vario – and says he just can’t believe the advantages they’re giving him.
The tractor spends most of its time in hay and silage production and spreading and spraying in crop applications. However, because a lot of the work is contract-based, there’s also plenty of road travel done in-between jobs – so Tasmin needs tyres that are durable and effective in both environments, which is an advantage that Vredestein is delivering!
Tasmin says that the tyres are “very smooth on the road, and offer a lot more grip than the previous pair”. He also says they “clean very well” and “do a lot less damage in the paddock” than tyres he has previously used.
Interestingly, in the hilly North-west Tasmanian countryside, Tasmin notices that the tyres “operate very well on hills, and have very little sideways slippage”.
Having done 1600 hours already, he is very impressed with the current wear rate – and is expecting to get a lot more wear yet.
